Cougars visit Sooners for three-game set
NORMAN, Okla. – Houston Baseball looks for its fourth weekend series win, opening a three-game set at Oklahoma on Friday at 6:30 p.m. from L. Dale Mitchell Park. Saturday's middle game is at 2 p.m. and Sunday's finale begins at noon.
The three contests will air on FOX Sports Oklahoma and FOX Sports Oklahoma+. Fans are encouraged to check their local listings to see if the game is being shown on the FOX Sports family of networks in your area.
Houston (10-6) is looking to bounce back after dropping Tuesday's contest, 9-4 to No. 25 Texas A&M. The Cougars could not overcome miscues including eight walks, three hit batters, three wild pitches and two errors.
Oklahoma (9-7) has won four of its last five contests including knocking off top-ranked Arkansas, 8-5 on Tuesday in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Sooners rank 21st nationally and second in the Big 12 with a .306 average.

The Sooners won the series opener and finale, both 7-6, while Houston took the middle game, 9-3.
At the conclusion of the weekend, Houston will have played seven of its last eight games on the road and 11 of its first 19 away from Schroeder Park. The last time Houston played at least 11 true road games in its first 19 matchups was 1960 (13 in 19).
