Cougars score season-high 16 runs in second game
HUNTSVILLE, Texas – A season-high 16 runs scored in the second game led the University of Houston Softball team to a doubleheader split with Sam Houston State on Wednesday.

In the nighttime contest, redshirt senior infielder Sarah Queen launched her fourth home run of the season, while junior catcher Kati Ray Brown connected on her third long ball. Queen and Brown were two of five Cougars to record multiple RBIs in that game.
Freshman pitcher Hailey Hudson has now won both games she has started in her collegiate career, having struck out out four batters in her near six innings of work. Junior pitcher Rachel Hertenberger got the nod in the first game, tossing her second complete game of the season.
