Cougar head to Kansas for final regular-season road game
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Women's Basketball team will take it five-game winning streak on the road when it heads to Wichita State for its final regular-season road game of the 2020-21 season.
The game is set to tip-off at 6 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+
THE 4-1-1
Houston will head to Wichita for its final road contest of the season on Wednesday. The Cougars are led in scoring by Britney Onyeje who averages 10.6 points per game. Tatyana Hill leads UH on the glass, pulling down 5.9 rebounds per game. Dymond Gladney is the assists leader for the Cougars with 56 this season.
Houston is averaging 68.7 points per game on 40.0 percent shooting from the field and a 29.9 percent mark from beyond the 3-point line. The Cougars allow 62.3 points on defense while letting opponents shoot 38.2 percent and 23.9 percent from the field and beyond the arc, respectively.
Under Coach Hughey, Houston has been one of the most active defensive teams in the country over the past two seasons. The Cougars enter the game with 191 steals this season and 71 blocks, forcing 20.89 turnovers per game.

Wichita State is in its 4th season under Head Coach Keitha Adams. The Shockers are 4-10 this season and 1-8 in conference play. Wichita State has dropped four of its last five games, most recently falling to ECU in a 59-74 decision.
WSU is led in scoring and rebounding by Asia Strong who averages 15.5 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game. Seraphina Bastin leads Wichita State in assists with 65 this season. The Bearcats average 62.3 points per game on 40.6 percent shooting from the field, including a 31.1 percent mark from the three-point line.
