SCOUTING THE LIONS. The Lady Lions enter Wednesday's contest aver aging 60.0 points per game. Giaratano paces the team with 9.4 points per game. Morgan Carrier (7.3 ppg), Caitlyn Williams (6.6 ppg), Davis (6.5 ppg) and Breonca Ducksworth (6.0 ppg) are the other top scorers for Southeastern. Giaratano also leads the team with 3.1 assists per contest.
3-POINT PARTY. Against Florida State the Cougars connected on 13 3-pointers. Led by Laila Blair who tied her career-high six, Houston tied the second most 3-pointers in school history. Bria Patterson and Britney Onyeje added three treys apiece while Dymond Gladney contributed one. This is the second game this season that Houston has scored double-digit 3-pointers after doing it against Baylor.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE. The Cougars are currently 5-0 when playing at home. The streak started with the exhibition against Texas A&M Commerce and then tallied home wins against Howard, New Mexico, Jacksonville State, Louisiana and most recently Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
TAKE THE BALL. Houston continues to dominate in takeaways ranking No. 26 in steals with 132 and No. 34 in steals per game at 11.0. In the American conference the Cougars rank second in steals while ECU holds the lead with 169. The Cougars are also ranked third in the American in blocked shots with 50 which is good for No. 52 nationally as Tatyana Hill leads the team with 15.
AGAINST CORPUS CHRISTI. Tatyana Hill led all scorers with 15 points to go with nine rebounds and three steals. Bria Patterson added 10 points with two steals as Dymond Gladney had seven points and five assists with three steals.
