Men’s Hoops Red-White Scrimmage Set for 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30

Free event open to all fans inside Fertitta Center; Houston Football to host SMU at 6 p.m., that evening
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Men's Basketball program will hold its Red-White Scrimmage at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30, inside the Fertitta Center.
Admission to the Red-White Scrimmage is free, and all fans are invited to attend. Fertitta Center doors and parking lots will open at 1:30 p.m., Oct. 30. All fans will enter the Fertitta Center through the Holman Street doors.
Now in his eighth season with the Cougars, Head Coach Kelvin Sampson will speak to fans during the Red-White Scrimmage.
PARKING
Fans should remember that Houston Football plays host to American Athletic Conference rival SMU at 6 p.m., Oct. 30, inside TDECU Stadium.
Houston Football Gameday Parking rules will be in effect.
Fans attending both the Football game and the Red-White Scrimmage should park in a game day parking lot.
Cougar Pride donors should park in their designated donor lot using their mobile parking passes.
Non-Cougar Pride members should use one of the many cash parking lots/garages, highlighted in blue on the map here.
Fans coming only for the Red-White Scrimmage should park in one of the cash parking lots/garages, highlighted in blue on the map here.
CONCESSIONS
Limited concessions will be available for fans during the Red-White Scrimmage.
ABOUT the COUGARS
Under Sampson's leadership, the Cougars return seven lettermen and two starters from its 2020-21 team, which compiled a 28-4 overall record, captured the American Athletic Conference Tournament championship, advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the sixth time in school history and for the first time in nearly four decades and finished among the Top-Six in both final national polls.
Houston was recently picked as the American Athletic Conference preseason favorite for the third consecutive season. After an All-Conference performance a year ago, junior guard Marcus Sasser earned a place on the Preseason All-Conference First Team.
