Cougars in the NFL: Final Stats

HOUSTON – With the 2020 season in the books for our Houston Football alums, take a look back at how the Cougars fared in our final NFL update.
Matthew Adams, LB, Indianapolis Colts
• Third NFL season …appeared in nine games … made two tackles … saw time on both defense and special teams.
Kyle Allen, QB, Washington Football Team
• Third NFL season … made four starts at quarterback for WFT, before suffering a season-ending injury … was 60-for-87 (69.0%) passing for 610 yards and four touchdowns … also added one rushing touchdown.
Tyus Bowser, LB, Baltimore Ravens
• Fourth NFL season … helped Ravens to AFC Divisional Round … appeared in all 16 games with two starts … recorded 34 tackles (17), 2.0 sacks and 4.0 tackles for loss … recorded three interceptions for 53 yards.
Emeke Egbule, LB, Los Angeles Chargers
• Second NFL season … appeared in 15 games, posting four tackles … saw time on defense and special teams.
D.J. Hayden, CB, Jacksonville Jaguars
• Eighth NFL season … appeared in five games with one start … had 18 tackles (15 solo) with one tackle for loss and one pass deflection.
William Jackson III, CB, Cincinnati Bengals
• Fourth NFL season … started 14 games at cornerback … made 45 tackles (38 solo) and logged one interception … also had 11 pass deflections … had season-high six stops against Pittsburgh in Week 10.
Isaiah Johnson, CB, Las Vegas Raiders
• Second season … appeared in 14 games and made 13 tackles … had key pass deflection in the Raiders' 31-26 win over the Chargers in Week 9, while adding six tackle in the victory … also appeared on special teams.
Josh Jones, OL, Arizona Cardinals
• Rookie season … saw action in 13 games as a reserve offensive lineman.
Case Keenum, QB, Cleveland Browns
• Eighth NFL season … served as Cleveland's backup QB and appeared in two games … was a part of Browns' squad that won its first playoff game since 2002.
Cameron Malveaux, DL, Cleveland Browns
• Signed to Cleveland's practice squad prior to start of the 2020 season … made two appearances … had four tackles and a forced fumble in limited action … spent majority of season on Cleveland's reserve roster and signed a reserve/futures deal with the Browns on Jan. 14.
Alexander Myres, CB, Detroit Lions
• Made season debut for Detroit and finished with four tackles and one pass deflection against the Tennessee Titans in Week 15.
Ed Oliver, DL, Buffalo Bills
• Second NFL season … helped Buffalo to No. 2 seed in the AFC as the Bills advanced to the AFC Championship Game … made 16 starts, recording 33 tackles (23 solo), six tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks … had season-high five tackles against Arizona in Week 10.
Elandon Roberts, LB, Miami Dolphins
• Fifth NFL season … appeared in 13 games, making 11 starts at linebacker in his first year with the Miami Dolphins … recorded 61 tackles, eight tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks … also added one forced fumble and fumble recovery … made season-high nine tackles in Week 15 win over the New England Patriots.
Nick Thurman, DL, New England Patriots
• Signed to Patriots roster in September and was moved to the active roster on Sept. 20 … recorded seven appearances with one start … made 10 tackles (six solo) and one tackle for loss … earned first career start in Week 9 win over the New York Jets.
Greg Ward Jr., WR, Philadelphia Eagles
• Finished the 2020 season with 53 receptions for 419 receiving yards and six touchdowns … made 10 starts and appeared in all 16 games for the Eagles … averaged 7.9 yards per reception … caught two touchdown passes against Arizona in Week 15 … had season-high eight catches for 72 yards in Week 3 tie with Cincinnati.
Brandon Wilson, S, Cincinnati Bengals
• Fourth NFL season … played in 15 games … led Cincinnati with 24 kickoff returns for 629 yards and one touchdown … recorded kickoff return for touchdown against the New York Giants in Week 12 … finished with 13 tackles (nine solo) and one forced fumble as a part of the Bengals' defense.
