HOUSTON – For the first time in 321 days, the University of Houston Men's Golf program returns to the course when it opens play at the Rice Intercollegiate at Westwood Country Club in Houston on Monday morning.
The one-day, 36-hole event begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m., on the 7,184-yard, par-72 course.
Monday's play will be the first time Houston Men's Golf has competed since George Gardner, Laurence Crea and Alex Isakson teed off as individuals at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational in Spring, Texas. It will be the first time the Cougars have competed in a team-scoring event since March 3, 2020, at the Cabo Collegiate.
