Guard is one of 24 NCAA invitee to Professional Basketball Combine
HOUSTON – University of Houston guard Nate Hinton received an invitation to the Professional Basketball Combine on Thursday morning.
Hinton was one of 24 NCAA and six international honorees.
The PBC is a secondary NBA Draft combine, primarily for prospects in the 2nd Round, UDFA, Two-Way, Exhibit-10, and overseas wheelhouse, with a strong history of identifying under-the-radar talent, helping them to maximize their pre-draft exposure to pro hoops decision-makers, and providing them an opportunity to make the most informed decision about their basketball future.
The PBC was previously held each year at Mamba Sports Academy, but the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the in-person event.
Houston guard Corey Davis Jr. participated in the PBC in 2019. In three years, the combine has produced participants with more than 10 two-way contracts, over 40 NBA Summer League invitations, more than 35 G League contracts and multiple international professional contracts.
More information on the PBC can be found at professionalbasketballcombine.com or on Twitter and Instagram at @probballcombine.

ABOUT NATE HINTON
Hinton was a two-year letterman for the Cougars from 2018 to 2020 before declaring for the NBA Draft following his sophomore season in 2020.
In two years, he led the Cougars to a 56-12 record, two NCAA Tournament appearances (including the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2019) and back-to-back American Athletic Conference regular-season championships.
As a sophomore, he averaged 10.6 points and a team-best 8.7 rebounds per game to lead the Cougars to a 23-8 record during a COVID-shortened season that was halted before the American Athletic Conference Championship.
One of only two Cougars to start all 31 games a year ago, Hinton earned NABC All-District 24 First-Team and All-American Athletic Conference Second-Team honors.
