Kondis Honored as CoSIDA Academic All-American

Cougar senior tabbed as CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-American
HOUSTON – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced its 2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-American Division I At-Large Teams, highlighted by the selection of senior Peyton Kondis.

Already a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection, Kondis is one of 46 student-athletes to earn a spot on the prestigious list and the first in Houston Swimming & Diving program history. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for both their achievements in the classroom and in their respective sports.

Kondis racked up numerous honors in her final season on the University of Houston Swimming & Diving team. In her final season she was named The American Co-Swimmer of the Year, captured two individual titles at the conference championships, qualified for her third consecutive NCAA Championships, is an Olympic Trials qualifier, and was one of five Houston student-athletes to be named CSCAA All-Americans.
