Cougar senior tabbed to At-Large team for second straight season
HOUSTON – With her senior season behind her, accolades continue to roll in for senior swimmer Peyton Kondis. The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) tabbed Kondis for its 2020 Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team.
Â
This marks the second straight season that Kondis has been selected to the team that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for both their achievements in the classroom and in their respective sports. With her collegiate career coming to an abrupt halt, Kondis racked up numerous honors in her final season on the University of Houston Swimming & Diving team. In her final season she was named The American Co-Swimmer of the Year, captured two individual titles at the conference championships, qualified for her third consecutive NCAA Championships, is an Olympic Trials qualifier, and was one of five Houston student-athletes to be named CSCAA All-Americans.
Â
Kondis will now be placed on the CoSIDA Academic All-America Ballot that will be voted on by Sports Information Directors from Division I institutions across the country.
