Cougars hit the road to face Penn, USF and FAU
HOUSTON - Houston Tennis will head out for a three-match road swing where it is set to face Penn on Friday at 11 a.m. CT, USF on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. CT and FAU on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. CT.
SCOUTING THE QUAKERS
- Penn is entering its second season under head coach Sanela Kunovac.
- The Quakers posted a 16-5 overall record in 2019, including a 5-2 finish in Ive League play.
- Penn welcomes back seven members from its 2019 squad, and adds four newcomers this season.
- Friday marks the first ever matchup between the Quakers and the Cougars.
- In their last contest, Penn defeated William and Mary in a 4-1 decision.
SCOUTING THE BULLS
- USF is entering its fifth season under head coach Cristina Moros.
- The Bulls finished out their 2019 season with a 13-11 overall record, including a 4-2 total in American Athletic Conference play.
- USF welcomes three newcomers and returns seven members from its 2019 roster.
- The Bulls currently own the all-time series, 2-1.
- In their last matchup, USF blanked Lehigh 7-0.
SCOUTING THE OWLS
- FAU is entering its second season under head coach Caroline Wheelen.
- The Owls topped of 2019 with an overall record of 10-8.
- FAU adds three newcomers and welcomes back five returners this season.
- Sunday marks the first ever matchup between the Owls and the Cougars.
- In their last match, USF dropped the contest to Yale in a 403 decision.Â
