Cougars meet Shockers for second time in 2019-20 with tipoff set for 2 p.m., Sunday in Fertitta Center
HOUSTON – Winners of five of their last six games, the University of Houston Men's Basketball team returns to action when it plays host to rv/rv Wichita State at 2 p.m., Sunday, inside the Fertitta Center.
The Cougars, who are ranked at No. 25 in both the Associated Press and USA TODAY Coaches' poll, look to sweep the regular-season series against Wichita State. Houston claimed a 65-54 win over the then-No. 16 Shockers inside Charles Koch Arena on Jan. 18.
Houston enters this weekend's game on the heels of a 75-62 win over Tulane on Thursday. The Cougars jumped out to a 39-21 lead by halftime and never looked back. Sophomore guard Nate Hinton flirted with a triple-double with 12 points and game highs of 12 rebounds and seven assists, while redshirt freshman guard Caleb Mills led all players with 18 points, thanks to 7-of-10 shooting from the field.
With his point total, Mills continues to hold the team lead with 13.1 points per game, the fourth-highest total among freshman in Houston single-season history, Houston great Rob Williams was the only freshman in school history to lead the Cougars in scoring for an entire season (16.3 ppg in 1979-80).
Sunday's game has sold out, but Standing Room Only tickets will be available at the Fertitta Center box office beginning at noon, Sunday. This will be the fifth sellout in the Fertitta Center in 2019-20 and the 14th in the facility's young history.

• Students are invited to the Sunday Student Tailgate, beginning at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, in Cemo Plaza in front of the Fertitta Center off Cullen Boulevard.
• The first 300 UH students at Sunday's game receive free food, courtesy of Freddy's, drinks, a t-shirt and a wristband for The Cage. Free games and music also will be available.
