Houston set to host LSU, Texas State
HOUSTON - Houston Tennis continues play inside the Winston Tennis Facility and looks to extend its win streak with a pair of matchups against LSU on Friday at 2 p.m. CT, followed by Texas State on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
- LSU is entering its seventh season under co-head coaches Julia and Michael Sell.
- The Tigers finished out their 2019 season with a 7-12 overall record, including a 5-8 finish in SEC play.
- LSU returns five members from 2019 and welcomes three newcomers this season.
- In their last matchup, the Tigers handed SMU its first loss of the season in a 5-1 decision.
- LSU owns the all-time series versus Houston, 5-0.
- In their last matchup with the Cougars, the Tigers secured a shutout in a 7-0 decision.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
- Texas State is entering its 15th season under head coach Tory Plunkett.
- The Bobcats finished out their 2019 slate with a 6-13 overall record, including a 2-8 finish in Sun Belt Conference play.
- Texas State welcomes four newcomers and returns four members from its 2019 squad.
- In their last matchup, the Bobcats dropped their four-match win streak after getting blanked by Northwestern State, 7-0.
- Houston owns the all-time series against Texas State, 6-0.
- In their last matchup with the Cougars, the Bobcats were shutout in a 7-0 decision.

Houston is set to host UT Arlington on Friday at 2 p.m. CT, followed by a matchup versus conference opponent UConn on Sunday at 10 a.m. CT.
