Cougars drop contest in 7-0 decision
HOUSTON - Houston Tennis wrapped its first weekend matchup to LSU in a 7-0 decision, Friday afternoon at the Winston Tennis Facility.
MATCH NOTABLES
- Pairs Kendall-Woseley/Pedemonti and Tairyan/Vukovic fell in doubles action, putting LSU out to an early lead, 1-0.
- Houston faced two ranked singles opponents in No. 33 Taylor Bridges and No. 75 Safiya Carrington.
- Senior Phonexay Chitdara and sophomore Elena Tairyan came up short in each of their super tie-breakers, securing a 7-0 victory for the Tigers.
- LSU owns the all-time series, 6-0.
- The Cougars fall to 5-4 on the season.
