Cougars get rematch with Oregon State on Sunday
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Softball team completed the second day of the Houston Classic on Saturday dropping both of its contests at Cougar Softball Stadium.
Houston (5-3) began the afternoon falling short of its comeback effort against No. 21/21 Oregon (8-0), as the Cougars fell by a score of 9-4. In Houston's second matchup of the day, Oregon State (7-1) took down the Cougars, 8-0.

KEY INNINGS
3rd | With the two outs in the inning, Houston took full advantage of its opportunities, scoring four times with its back against the wall. After senior outfielder Lindsey Stewart started the rally with a single up the middle, a walk from junior designated player Charese Wyatt put a pair of runners on for senior infielder Sarah Queen. Queen then stepped up to the plate and unloaded on a no-doubter to make the deficit just one run. The rally continued when junior outfielder Aspen Howie doubled one in the gap, and once sophomore outfielder Abby Odneal collected a double of her own to score Howie, Houston had knotted the score at four.
5th | After taking the lead in the fourth, three solo home runs from the Ducks put them in front by four, where they never looked back from that point.
