Houston Set to Host Doubleheader

Cougars continue home slate with set of Saturday matches
HOUSTON - Moving forward with its home slate, Houston Tennis is set to host a doubleheader on Saturday where it will first face Southern at 10 a.m. CT, followed by Stephen F. Austin at 2 p.m. CT.

"We are looking forward to competing hard this weekend." said head coach Helena Besovic. "Doubleheaders are a great chance for us to demonstrate all of the hard work we've been putting in on the court and in the gym."
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
- Southern is entering its 9th season under head coach Jeffrey Conyers.
- The Jaguars finished out their 2019 season with a 5-11 overall record, including a 5-3 finish in Southwestern Atlantic Conference play.
- Southern returns five members of its 2019 squad, and welcomes one newcomer.
- In their last matchup, the Jaguars were shutout by New Orleans, 7-0
SCOUTING THE LADYJACKS
- SFA is entering its second season under head coach Erin Scott.
- The Ladyjacks rounded out their 2019 season with a 7-13 overall record, including a 3-8 total in Southland Conference play.
- SFA welcomes four newcomers, and returns four members from 2019.
- In their last matchup, the Ladyjacks claimed victory over Jackson State in a 5-2 decision.
