HOUSTON – The University of Houston Men's Basketball program released its complete 2020-21 schedule on Friday afternoon with tipoff times of 2 p.m., for a pair of home games inside the Fertitta Center during the first week.
No. 17/18 Houston opens the season against Lamar at 2 p.m., Wednesday, before playing host to Boise State at 2 p.m., Friday, both inside the Fertitta Center.
The Cougars also revealed their complete American Athletic Conference schedule. Tipoff times and broadcasting networks are coming soon.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
For the first time in school history, the Cougars will play a 20-game league slate, meeting each opponent in a home-and-away series.
The Cougars open American Athletic Conference play with a pair of games inside the Fertitta Center. The league slate begins Dec. 15 against UCF and continues against Temple on Dec. 22.
Houston closes out the year 2020 at Tulsa on Dec. 29.
From there, the Cougars open the New Year at SMU on Jan. 3 with home games against Wichita State (Jan. 6) and Tulane (Jan. 9). After a pair of road games at USF (Jan. 14) and at UCF (Jan. 17), the Cougars meet Tulsa (Jan. 20) and Cincinnati (Jan. 23), both inside the Fertitta Center.
Following a road game at Tulane on Jan. 27, the Cougars take on SMU inside the Fertitta Center on Jan. 31.
Houston opens the month of February with road games at ECU (Feb. 3) and at Temple (Feb. 10) before home contests against Memphis (Feb. 14) and ECU (Feb. 17). The Cougars hit the road again to face Cincinnati (Feb. 21) and Wichita State (Feb. 25) before celebrating Senior Day against USF on Feb. 28 inside the Fertitta Center.
The Cougars wrap up the regular season when they take on Memphis inside FedExForum on a date to be determined.
Houston takes its first steps in the postseason when it competes at the American Athletic Conference Championship, beginning March 11 inside Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
The Cougars released their non-conference schedule earlier this month. Houston will play seven non-conference games in a reduced schedule due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
After facing Lamar and Boise State, the Cougars continue a busy stretch, which has them playing three games in five days when they take on No. 14/13 Texas Tech (Nov. 29, Dickies Arena, Fort Worth, Texas).
Houston will enjoy three non-conference home games in December with South Carolina (7 p.m., Dec. 5), Sam Houston State (Dec. 9) and Rice (Dec. 12) visiting the Fertitta Center before a Dec. 19 showdown at rv/#25 Alabama.
