Houston Hits the Road to Face ECU on Wednesday

Cougars tip off vs. Pirates at 6 p.m. (CST) inside Williams Arena
GREENVILLE, N.C. – Winners of 14 of their last 16 games, the University of Houston Men's Basketball program returns to action when it takes on ECU at 6 p.m. (CST) Wednesday, inside Williams Arena.
The Cougars (16-4 • 6-1 American) – who are ranked No. 21 in this week's Associated Press poll and at No. 20 in the USA TODAY Coaches' poll – enter the game following a 68-49 win over USF on Sunday inside the Fertitta Center. Junior point guard DeJon Jarreau led all players with 12 points and six assists, while redshirt freshman guard Caleb Mills totaled 11 points with three boards.
Mills and Jarreau were honored Monday by the American Athletic Conference. Mills was named the league's Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, while Jarreau earned a place on the Honor Roll for the second time.
This season, Mills leads the Cougars with 12.9 points per game, which ranks fourth among Houston freshmen in school single-season history.
Sophomore guard Nate Hinton leads Houston and ranks second in The American with rebounds per game. The Gastonia, N.C., native is the only player to rank among the league's Top-4 leaders in both offensive and defensive rebounding.
The Cougars continue to rank among the nation's elite rebounding teams. Houston leads the country with a +10.7 rebounding advantage and ranks third nationally with 14.6 offensive rebounds and 42.5 total rebounds per game and a 39.5 offensive rebounding percentage.
