Cougars fall in 3-0 decision to Lumberjacks

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The Cougars closed out non-conference play falling to Northern Arizona in a 3-0 decision, Friday evening at Max Spilsbury Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

NAU would strike first scoring early in the first frame, within the sixth minute.
The Lumberjacks would extend their lead, scoring within the 35th minute followed closely by the final goal within the 37th minute.
Samantha Cude and Kate Godfrey each played 45 minutes in goal for the Cougars, both posting one save.
Houston tallied five shots, and three corner kicks.
Four newcomers saw action tonight for Houston.

OTHER NOTABLES

Houston falls to 3-7-0 on the season.
Houston is now 2-4-0 on the road this season.
The all-time series with NAU is now split, 1-1.

Houston will open conference play at home when it takes on USF on Oct. 3 at the Carl Lewis Complex. The match is slated for 7 p.m.
