Houston Fan Appreciation Night Set for Tuesday

Fans invited to FREE event inside Fertitta Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.
HOUSTON – Following one of the most successful seasons in school history, University of Houston Men's Basketball fans are invited to Fan Appreciation Night, beginning at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, inside the Fertitta Center.
Fertitta Center doors open at 6:30 p.m., for this FREE event. Fans can park for only $5 in the Stadium Garage off Holman Street and enter the Fertitta Center through the lower Sideline Club doors.
Two-time defending American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year Kelvin Sampson and members of the 2018-19 team will be on hand to sign autographs and meet with fans. Fans can watch highlights on the Fertitta Center video boards while enjoying food and drink specials.
Representatives from the Athletics Tickets Office will be available for fans who wish to purchase, renew or upgrade their season tickets for the 2019-20 season.
More than 121,000 fans watched the Cougars play at home in 2018-19 with more than 100,000 coming through the Fertitta Center doors since opening the $60-million facility on Dec. 1 with a 65-61 win over No. 18/21 Oregon.

IN 2018-19
In 2018-19, the Cougars posted a 33-4 overall record to set a school single-season record for wins and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 for the first time since 1984.
With a 16-2 record in American Athletic Conference play, the Cougars captured their first outright conference title since 1984 and tied the school season record for conference victories.
Houston finished at No. 11 in the final Associated Press poll and at No. 12 in the final USA TODAY Coaches poll, marking the second straight season in which the Cougars were ranked among the nation's Top 25.
Senior guard Corey Davis Jr. led Houston with 17.0 points per game and was named to multiple postseason First Teams. Junior guard Armoni Brooks was named to The American's Second Team, while sophomore guard DeJon Jarreau was recognized as the league's Sixth Man of the Year.
Point guard Galen Robinson Jr. ended his collegiate career having played in 137 games, more than any other player in school history and became only the second player in UH history to win more than 100 games during his career.
