HOUSTON NOTES
Offense:
• Davis finished with two doubles in a 2-for-3 showing with one walk and one RBI. The doubles were his fourth and fifth of the season, adding to his career extra-base record. The Austin native has 90 extra-base hits for his career. The two doubles also marked the first time a Houston player scored two two-baggers in a game since Davis did so in a 10-1 win at UConn on May 11, 2018.
• Redshirt freshman Ian McMillan recorded the first hit of his career with a pinch-hit double into the right-center gap in the fifth inning. Taking over duties at shortstop in the sixth, McMillan finished 1-for-3.
• Freshman Brad Burckel went 1-for-4, breaking up A&M's no-hit bid with a single to leadoff the fourth.
• Triolo drew two walks and reached on an error. He's reached safely in all 10 games to start the season.
Pitching:
• Junior southpaw Lael Lockhart Jr. (0-2) took the loss, surrendering two runs on five hits across four and two-third innings. He finished with three walks and two strikeouts.
• Junior Devon Roedahl went three and one-third innings in relief. The native of Beaumont, Texas, issued one run on three hits while walking two and striking out three.
• Sophomore Spencer Hynes took over following a leadoff single in the ninth. He retired the side, recording one strikeout.
