Houston Ranked No. 25 in Extra Innings Top 25

Cougars make fourth appearance preseason polls
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Softball team earned itself another spot in a preseason top 25 poll, as the Cougars were slated No. 25 by Extra Inning Softball.

With their No. 25 ranking, the Cougars have appeared in four preseason polls, including two top 25 placings. Houston was chosen No. 23 in the Softball America poll.

In the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll, the Cougars earned 31 votes, which is more than any other team outside of the top 25. Houston received one vote in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll.

The Cougars open up their season on Feb. 8, hosting a top-15 team in Kentucky as part of the Houston Invitational at Cougar Softball Stadium.

Houston returns all five of their All-Conference players from a year ago, including NCFA All-American and 2018 American Athletic Conference Co-Pitcher of the Year Savannah Heebner.

Season tickets for the 2019 season are on sale now and can be purchased for $80. Fans can also purchase a flex package of 20 games, where they can choose which games they want to attend.
