Cougars have appeared in three preseason polls
HOUSTON – The preseason recognition for the University of Houston Softball team continues to build, as the Cougars have been slated No. 23 in the nation in the preseason poll from Softball America.

The publication is the new sister outlet to Baseball America. Along with a select group of Division I head softball coaches, the rankings are determined by the staff at Softball America.

With their No. 23 ranking, the Cougars have now appeared in three preseason polls, having earned 31 votes in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll, while receiving one vote in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll. Â Â

The Cougars open up their season on Feb. 8, when Houston hosts a top-15 team in Kentucky as part of the Houston Invitational at the Cougar Softball Stadium.

Houston returns all five of their All-Conference players from a year ago, including NCFA All-American and 2018 Co-American Pitcher of the Year Savannah Heebner.
SEASON TICKETS
Season tickets for the 2019 season are on sale now and can be purchased for $80. Fans can also purchase a flex package of 20 games, where they can choose which games they want to attend.
