Sam Houston State captured the team title with a 36-hole score of 573, while Mississippi's Cecil Wegener earned medalist honors with a score of 6-under 138.
Competing on the 7,067-yard, par-72 course, Houston tied for second with Baylor at 578. No. 34 South Carolina (582), Charlotte (582), No. 49 Mississippi (583), UTSA (587) Rice (591), North Texas (597) and McNeese (598) rounded out the Top-10 team leaders.
Senior Matt Williams led the Cougars and tied for seventh with a score of 2-under 142. The Calgary, Alberta, native drained a birdie on the 580-yard, par-5 15th hole and made 16 pars with only one bogey during Monday's Second Round.
Joining Williams among the Top-20 leaders, junior George Gardner tied for ninth at 1-under 143, while sophomore Alexander Frances tied for 12th at 145.
Junior Alex Isakson tied for 31st at 148, while junior Logan Young tied for 58th at 153. Competing as individuals, sophomore Andrew Gibson and senior Zach Tracy tied for 22nd at 147, while freshman Braxton Watkins tied for 54th at 152. Senior Carson Cavner tied for 70th at 155.
John Gough (Charlotte) and William Holcomb (Sam Houston State) were tied for fourth at 140, while No. 47 Blake Elliott (McNeese), Jack Randle (Sam Houston State) and Mark Reppe (Baylor) were tied for fourth at 141.
UP NEXT
Following the All-American Intercollegiate, the Cougars will compete at the Cabo Collegiate on March 3-5 at Querencia Golf Club in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
From there, the team will host the Border Olympics at Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas, on March 11-12.
