The Cougars (24-1 • 11-1 The American) enter this weekend's game on the heels of a 71-63 road win at UConn on Thursday night in Hartford, Conn., for their ninth straight win.
Against the Huskies, sophomore guard DeJon Jarreau came off the bench to lead the Cougars with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field and added a team-high seven assists with three rebounds in only 22 minutes.
It was the second straight game Jarreau posted a season high in points with the Cougars. He finished with 16 points in Houston's win over No. 25/23 Cincinnati on Sunday inside the Fertitta Center.
Sunday's game is the second contest in a four-game stretch, which sees Houston play three games on the road. Following Thursday's win at UConn and Sunday's game at Tulane, the Cougars host USF at 5 p.m., Feb. 23, in the Fertitta Center before meeting ECU at 6 p.m., Feb. 27, in Greenville, N.C.

WELCOME BACK to the BIG EASY
Sunday's game will be a homecoming for two Houston student-athletes and two staff members. Jarreau, sophomore forward Brison Gresham, Assistant Coach Quannas White and Director of Player Development Hollis Price all hail from New Orleans.
Jarreau and Gresham were high school teammates at McDonogh 35 and later competed together at UMass during the 2016-17 season before joining the Cougars. White and Price were high school teammates at St. Augustine before becoming teammates at Oklahoma from 2001 to 2003 for current Houston Head Coach Kelvin Sampson.
