Kondis Named American Swimmer of the Week

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Swimming & Diving program earns its second straight American Athletic Conference weekly honor as senior Peyton Kondis was named the conference Swimmer of the Week.

Kondis helped the Cougars remain undefeated in dual-meet action as she won both the 100 and 200 Breaststroke, helping Houston win both the 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Medley Relay AT FGCU

. The two-time NCAA qualifier swam the 13^th-fastest time nationally this season in the 100 Breaststroke (1:01.09) and the seventh-fastest time nationally in the 200 Breaststroke (2:11.38) for a pair of first-place individual finishes against the Eagles.

The award marks the first of the season for Kondis, and the third of the season for the Cougars.

UP NEXT
Houston will return home to the Campus Recreation & Wellness center to prepare for the Phill Hansel Invitational Nov. 21-23 at the CRWC.
