
Houston Returns to Action at Rice

Cougars meet Owls at 7 p.m., Tuesday, inside Tudor Fieldhouse in game airing on Facebook Live
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Men's Basketball program returns to action when it meets Rice at 7 p.m., Tuesday, inside Tudor Fieldhouse on the Rice campus.
The Cougars (1-1) enter this week's game on the heels of a tough 72-71 loss to BYU on Friday inside the Fertitta Center.
Freshman guard Caleb Mills drained a pair of free throws with 1:25 remaining, but TJ Haws' running jumper bounced straight up off the front of the rim and in as time expired to lift BYU to the win.
Competing in only his second game as a Cougar, Mills finished with 17 points and added two rebounds and two assists. Junior forward Fabian White Jr. added 14 points with five rebounds and a pair of blocked shots.
This season, Mills and White are tied for the team lead with 12.0 points per game, while sophomore guard Quentin Grimes (11.5 ppg) and junior guard DeJon Jarreau (10.5 ppg) stand third and fourth, respectively. Sophomore guard Nate Hinton leads the Cougars with 7.5 rebounds per contest.
