Cougars fall short at home
HOUSTON - The Cougars finished off the weekend Sunday afternoon at the Carl Lewis Complex, falling to UCF in a 3-0 decision.
QUOTES FROM COACH
"That was a tough one today. I think today versus Thursday night we played a much better first half. We pressed, we didn't let them come to us. I was really happy with how we started the game. We had a couple mental lapses that led to them getting a corner kick, then scoring on the corner kick. So, instead of going into the locker room 0-0, we go down 1-0 and that's tough.Â
We came back out ready to go, but I think we ran out of gas, and I think that's attributed to using a lot of energy Thursday night trying to get back in the game and then we used a lot of energy today at the beginning of the game. We have to do better when we have the ball to keep it and put them under pressure. We can't be defending the entire game." said Head Coach Diego Bocanegra.
