- The Cougars' high octane offense is looked up as one of the best in The American as their .255 team hitting percentage tops all other conference foes. Houston also ranks third in the league in kills (13.45) and fourth in assists per set (12.59).
- Houston's lineup has seen a number of players already make an impact on the year as junior outside hitter Megan Duncan (3.59), as well as sophomore outside hitter Gabi Zelaya (2.58) and freshman middle blocker Kendall Haywood (2.10) all lead the Cougars in kills per set.
- Haywood is viewed as one of the most efficient hitters in the county, ranking eighth with her .542 hitting percentage.
- The Cougars also possess a pair of lethal setters with the tag team of sophomore Abby Irvine and senior Katie Krebs.
