HOUSTON -- The University of Houston Swimming & Diving program and Head Coach Ryan Wochomurka announce the signing of Monique Rae to a National Letter of Intent.
"We are excited to welcome Monique to the Cougar family," said Wochomurka. "She will make an immediate impact at the conference level. As we learned more about Monique through the recruiting process, she stood out as a perfect fit for our culture here at UH."
Rae is the ninth addition to the 2018-19 signing class and comes to Houston from the University of Wyoming where she competed in Freestyle and Backstroke events. The sophomore is a native of Sydney, Australia and turned in a fourth-place finish in the 200 Backstroke at the Western Athletic Conference Championships after finishing at 1:55.79. That same time would have finished second-overall at the American Championships and set a program record.
