Four Cougars to Compete at HBU Husky Invitational

CYPRESS, Texas â€" Four University of Houston Women's golfers will compete as individuals at the HBU Husky Invitational, beginning Monday morning at BlackHorse Golf Club.
Senior Kelli Rollo, juniors Maddy Rayner and Tatiana Pineda and freshman Yukie Sasaki will represent Houston in the two-day, 54-hole event.
Teams will play 36 holes beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Monday with the final 18 holes teeing off Tuesday on the 6,247-yard, par-72 course.

TEAM FIELD
The Cougars, who check in at No. 24 in the latest Golfstat national rankings, will compete in a field against Incarnate Word, Texas Southern, McNeese, Oklahoma City, Prairie View A&M, Sam Houston State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Lamar, McLennan Community College and host Houston Baptist.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars finished third at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on Wednesday with a score of 913. Senior Allie Andersen tied for sixth with a score of 224 for her second straight top-10 showing.
Senior Megan Thothong enjoyed the team's low round of the tournament with a 71 in the Final Round and finished eighth at 225.
UP NEXT
Following the HBU Husky Invitational, the Cougars will compete at the LSU Tiger Classic on March 23-25 at University Club in Baton Rouge, La.
From there, the team will close out the regular season when it tees off at the Bruzzy Challenge on April 2-3 at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas.
