Brown Named American Swimmer of the Week

Houston junior earns first weekly honor of 2018-19 season
PROVIDENCE – Houston junior Zarena Brown closes out the second week of competition with three first-place finishes and American Swimmer of the Week honors.

Brown helped the Cougars earn a hard-fought 151.50 – 148.50 victory at Tulane this past weekend after earning top finishes in the 100 Free (51.86), 200 Free (1:51.12), and the 500 Free (5:03.12).Brown posted a split of 51.42 as the final leg of the first-place finishing Houston 4 x 100 Relay team. This is Brown's second weekly honor of her career and first of the season.
UP NEXT
Houston will continue its season when it returns to Houston for a meet at Rice University on Oct 12-13, with the Houston Diving Invitational taking place at the CRWC also on Oct. 12-13.
