Houston and Colorado Add Future Series

Two teams to play at Houston in 2025 and at Colorado in 2026
HOUSTON – Houston and Colorado will face off in a home-and-home, non-conference football series during the 2025 and 2026 seasons, the two schools announced Friday.

Houston will host the first game on Sept. 6, 2025, before returning to Boulder, Colo., on Sept. 12, 2026.
Houston and Colorado have met only one other time with the Buffs claiming a 29-17 win in the 1971 Bluebonnet Bowl played at the Astrodome in Houston.
With the two games added, Houston has filled two of its four non-conference slots in 2025 and three in 2026. The Cougars host UTSA on Aug. 30, 2025, in addition to their game against Colorado the following week. In 2026, UH is slated to host Utah on Sept. 5, 2026, before traveling to Colorado the following week and to Georgia Southern on Sept. 26, 2026.
