The senior from Shreveport, La., recorded a game-high and career-high 10 tackles including one for a loss of three yards while also breaking up one pass. Wilson more importantly provided one of the biggest plays of the game in Houston's 33-23 win over No. 3 Oklahoma when he returned a missed field goal from the back of Houston's end zone for a decisive third quarter touchdown.
With the return, Wilson now has eight career touchdowns in six different ways. He also has two rushing touchdowns, two kick return touchdowns, a fumble return, an interception return and a blocked field goal return.
In 2015, he was the only player in the nation to score multiple touchdowns in all three phases of the game with two touchdowns each on offense, defense and special teams.
Wilson is the sixth Houston player to earn Walter Camp National Player of the Week honors since 2004, and the first since linebacker Sammy Brown did so on Nov. 20, 2011.
