Houston Football Spring Practice #3

Spring Break is over. The pads are back. In a program that prides itself on toughness, both physically and mentally, the Houston Football program put its culture of toughness and competition on display Tuesday.
In its third practice of the 2016 spring season, the Cougars immediately went to work in the two-hour session. Pads popped as the team gathered around head coach Tom Herman for the first circle drill of 2016, the drill that matches an offensive and defensive player in head-to-head matchups consisting of pure strength and physical force with the winning side of the ball claiming the championship belt until the next occasion.
The defense claimed the first circle drill win of 2016 Tuesday as B.J. Singleton, Matthew Adams, Jerard Carter, Tyus Bowser and Howard Wilson all claimed wins for their unit. Chance Allen and Duke Catalon picked up the offense's two victories.

Spring Practice Notes:
Several members of the 2015 Houston Football team were in attendance at Tuesday's practice as they prepare for Thursday morning's Pro Day including Demarcus Ayers, Kenneth Farrow, Lee Hightower, Elandon Roberts and Trevon Stewart.
Houston returns to the practice field Wednesday and Friday of this week as part of 15 spring practices that conclude with the 2016 Red & White Game presented by Energy Ogre at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 16, at TDECU Stadium. Fans can purchase general admission tickets ahead of time for just $5 at UHCougars.com/spring with tickets priced at $10 the day of the event.
