HOUSTON'S LINEUP
Director of Golf Jonathan Dismuke and associate head coach Ryke Dismuke (no relation) recently announced the Cougars' starting lineup for this week's tournament. The group features seniors Roman Robledo and Kyle Pilgrim, junior Blair Hamilton and freshmen Michael Perras and Alan De Bondt.
A 2014 All-America Second-Team honoree, Robledo bettered his score each day at the Bayou City Collegiate Championship and finished in a tie for 36th with a score of 221. The Harlingen, Texas, native is tied for the team lead with six rounds of par or better and leads the Cougars with three rounds in the 60s.
Pilgrim has posted a pair of top-20 finishes this season, including a sixth-place showing at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate on Sept. 20-21, 2014.
Hamilton was the Cougars' leading performer at the Bayou City Collegiate Championship. The Burlington, Ontario, Canada, native was a steady performer for all three rounds, posting a score of 1-under-par 215 to tie for 13th. It was his fourth top-20 finish of the season and the 10th of his career.
Competing in his first collegiate season, Perras has been a consistent performer for the Cougars. The Deer Park, Texas, native has posted a 73.86 scoring average with four straight top-25 finishes entering this week's tournament.
De Bondt will be making his Houston debut as a part of the Cougars' lineup in a team-scoring event, thanks to a stellar performance at the Bayou City Collegiate Championship last week.
The Antwerp, Belgium, native lowered his score each day, going 70-69 during the final two rounds, to tie for 16th at even-par 216. In the fall, he posted a 1-1 record in match play during the Moe O'Brien Match Play Championship against McNeese State and Southeastern Louisiana in Lake Charles, La., on Oct. 19, 2014.
Robledo and the Cougars swept the individual and team championships at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate for the second straight week to open the 2014 spring season.
The Cougars posted a team score of 863 to finish one stroke in front of No. 1 ranked Alabama and ended the Crimson Tide's 11-tournament winning streak dating back to last season.
Robledo fired back-to-back 68s to open the tournament and finished with a 54-hole score of 4-under-par 209 to finish one stroke ahead of Baylor's Kyle Jones. James Ross, Curtis Reed and Curtis Reed finished among the top-20 individual leaders to lead the Cougars.

UP NEXT
Following the Querencia Cabo Collegiate, the Cougars return to action when they play host to the Border Olympics on March 13-14 at Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas. A year ago the Cougars and Robledo swept the team and individual championships for the third straight tournament to open the spring season.
