EL PASO, Texas â€" University of Houston senior Blair Hamilton stood in 15th place following the first day of the prestigious Western Refining All-America Classic at El Paso Country Club.
Hamilton opened the tournament Saturday morning with a First-Round 70 on the 6,889-yard, par-71 course and followed that with a 75 in the afternoon session for a 36-hole score of 145.

USF's Claudio Correa fired back-to-back 68s to lead the first day at 6-under-par 136. East Tennessee State's Adrian Meronk was in second at 138 with LSU's Zach Wright and Max Rottluff of Arizona State tied for third at 139.
Hamilton became eligible for the tournament when he was named a PING All-America Honorable Mention following the 2014-15 season.
