Football Commemorative Jersey Auction Now Live

HOUSTON -- Jerseys from the 18th-ranked University of Houston Football team's Halloween showdown against Southeastern Conference member Vanderbilt are now available for purchase in an online auction.
This marks the fifth consecutive season in which the University of Houston Department of Athletics, Cougar Pride and the UH Alumni Association teamed up to auction off the game jerseys worn during a key game on Houston Football's schedule.
The Cougars play host to the Commodores at 6 p.m., Saturday, inside TDECU Stadium with the Cougars looking to extend their winning streak to eight consecutive games.

Nearly 70 jerseys were purchased during the Buy It Now auction, which ended Friday. Fans had the opportunity to buy the jerseys sight unseen at a one-time price of $300.
Those jerseys, which were not sold during the Buy It Now portion, are now available until 5 p.m. (CT), Nov. 11 in an auction with initial bids starting at $175.
On Saturday afternoon, the Cougars arrived to their locker room inside TDECU Stadium, where they saw their uniforms for the first time. Fans should stay tuned to Houston Football's social media sites for videos and photos from the uniform unveiling to the team.
The black jerseys, created by Nike, feature large red numbers with "Houston" across the chest. Accent color can be seen around the neck with one broad stripe at the top of the sleeve. American Athletic Conference and Nike logos stand just above the "Houston" on the right and left sides, respectively, of the jerseys when wearing them.
Fans should note that the jerseys are designed to be worn tight by student-athletes during games and may consider moving up a size or two when selecting a jersey.
Proceeds raised from the auction benefitting student-athlete scholarships and alumni scholarships and programming at the University.
