Burgess, Olanski, Shedd Earn All-Conference Recognition

HOUSTON - All three of Houston's divers earned All-Conference recognition for their outstanding efforts at the American Swimming and Diving Championships last week. Natasha Burgess, Taylor Olanski and Danielle Shedd combined to account for Houston's five All-Conference selections.
Junior Natasha Burgess, who was named the league's Most Outstanding Diver, earned a win in one event (3M) and a runner-up finish in a second (1M) en route to her First and Second team accolades.
Freshman Taylor Olanski took first in the platform on Saturday to claim her first conference title while picking up a third-place finish in the 3M competition.
Sophomore Danielle Shedd earned runner up to Burgess in the 1M to earn second-team honors in the event.
The three UH student-athletes were led by interim diving coach Yulia Pakhalina who was named the Diving Coach of the Year.
Student-athletes that finished in the top three at a Championship event were recognized for inclusion. For the complete list of All-Conference honorees, visit TheAmerican.org.
UP NEXT
The Houston divers will head to Minneapolis, Minn. for the NCAA Zone Diving competition held March 10-12.
