HOUSTON - Only one week remains in the University of Houston Football program's annual Homecoming auction, and fans are encouraged to put their bids in for game-worn, commemorative jerseys, helmets, autographed memorabilia and more.
For the fourth consecutive year, Houston Athletics, Cougar Pride and the University of Houston Alumni Association will auction off the game jerseys worn during the Cougars' annual Homecoming game.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of former quarterback Andre Ware winning the Heisman Trophy, the Cougars will wear uniforms designed from the 1989 season. The 2014 Cougars meet Tulane during their annual Homecoming contest on Saturday, Nov. 8, inside TDECU Stadium at a time to be determined in late October.
The red jerseys feature large white numbers with navy blue outlines and three horizontal white stripes with blue outlines on each sleeve. Approximately 125 jerseys will be on sale in the auction.
In addition, two tickets and two pregame field passes for the Nov. 22 game vs. Tulsa, a Case Keenum autographed jersey and two Homecoming helmets signed by the 2014 team and Head Coach Tony Levine will be available in the auction.
A year ago, the Cougars unveiled Scarlet and Black uniforms during this annual event, winning by an average of 23.0 points per game in victories against American Athletic Conference rivals USF and SMU inside Reliant Stadium.
Off the field, the auction raised nearly $40,000 in revenue for student-athlete scholarships.
