Natasha Burgess Named Conference USA Diver of the Week

HOUSTON - Freshman Natasha Burgess has been named the Conference USA Diver of the Week (Feb. 7) after her strong showing this past weekend as the Cougars hosted No. 6 Texas A&M in a dual meet.

Burgess surpassed the NCAA diving standards yet again, posting a C-USA-best 339.08 in the 3M to take second place. She also finished with a 314.93 score on the 1M for fourth place. Both marks are personal bests for the freshman who turned in an exceptional performance in her last tune up before the C-USA Championships Feb. 15-18.

This is the second time this season the Adelaide, Australia, native has won the award. The Cougars have claimed seven out of 10 weekly awards this season, and three consecutive.
