Touchdown Club Hosts State Farm Bayou Bucket Breakfast

Houston, Texas - The Touchdown Club of Houston announced on Thursday that it will host the 35th annual State Farm Rice-UH Bayou Bucket Breakfast, featuring University of Houston Head Coach Kevin Sumlin, Houston Director of Athletics Mack Rhoades, Rice University Head Coach David Bailiff and Rice Athletics Director Rick Greenspan at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 25 at the Bayou City Event Center in Houston.
The event was moved to a breakfast to accommodate the nationally televised Thursday night contest between the Cougars and Owls. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Net at 7 p.m. at Robertson Stadium.
Houston (6-0, 2-0 C-USA) is currently one of 13 remaining undefeated teams in Football Bowl Subdivision play and is nationally ranked at #22 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll and #25 by the Associated Press. Rice is coming off a 28-6 victory over Conference USA foe Memphis and also toppled Big Ten member Purdue earlier this season.
Also known as "Bacon and Eggs with the Cougars and Owls", the event is open to the public and the cost per person is $25. Tables of 10 are available for $250 and sponsorship levels for tables span the bronze($500), silver ($1,000) and gold ($1,500) levels.
