HOUSTON - Fans attending today's 2010 Houston Cougar Football Fan Appreciation Day are encouraged to use city roads near and around the I-45 Southbound just north of Scott Street due to a semi-truck fire, as cited by traffic reports at 8:15 a.m.
FAN APPRECIATION DAY
Fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet the 2010 edition of Houston Cougar football today with an open scrimmage at 11 am, followed by photos and autographs at John O'Quinn Field at Robertson Stadium.
As an added benefit, fans in attendance can be the first to purchase single-game tickets from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The remaining tickets will not be available to the general public until Aug. 17.
The event is free and open to the public, and head coach Kevin Sumlin invites all fans to come out and catch an early glimpse of the Cougars. Parking on the West side of the stadium (Scott Street) will be open at 10:30 a.m. and fans can enter through Gates 1, 4 and 7.
Following the action on the field, fans can meet coaches and student-athletes during autograph sessions and play in inflatable games for the children in the pavilions on the west side of Robertson Stadium from 1-2:30 p.m. Posters will be provided and fans will be limited to two autographed items apiece.
