Diving Completes Competition at NCAA Championships

Purdue, Ind. - University of Houston junior diver Lacey Truelove finished seventh in the platform competition on the final day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday night.
Truelove finished one place lower than her career-best at seventh with 256.45 points. Senior Anastasia Pozdniakova also dove in the event, turning in a 17th place finish with 247.95 points.
The duo helped the Cougars finish 17th at the Championships with 53 points.
Earlier in the competition, Pozdniakova took home her second consecutive 1-meter NCAA title; with a pool and NCAA record 356.20 points. On Friday, Pozdniakova was the runner-up in the 3-meter event, while Truelove finished 13th.
The NCAA Championships conclude the 2009-10 swimming and diving season.
