HOUSTON - Fans hoping to see the 21st-ranked University of Houston football team square off against Texas Tech on Sept. 26 should act soon because tickets are going fast.
Administrators with the Athletics Ticket Office announced Tuesday evening that fewer than 1,000 tickets remain for that game. The Cougars play host to the Red Raiders at 8:15 p.m., Sept. 26, on John O'Quinn Field at Robertson Stadium.
At this time, the only way that fans can guarantee a ticket to the Texas Tech game is by ordering season tickets or a mini-plan.
SEASON TICKETS
Season tickets remain available for the final five home games and start at only $170. Fans can purchase the same great seats for all five games and lock in their seat for next season.
MINI-PLANS
Fans can purchase Texas Tech tickets as part of a 3-game mini-plan. These plans include a ticket to the Texas Tech game on Sept. 26, the Memphis game (Nov. 21) with a choice of the SMU (Oct. 24), Southern Miss (Oct. 31) or Rice (Nov. 28) games.
These mini-plans are available for only $99 for reserved seating.
HOW TO ORDER
Fans can order season tickets by calling 713-GO-COOGS (462-6647) or visiting the Athletics Ticket Office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Fans always can purchase tickets by clicking the "Tickets" link at UHCougars.com.
The Cougars improved to 2-0 last weekend with a thrilling 45-35 upset at No. 5/6 Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla. It was the program's first win against a top-5 team on the road since 1984.
However, UH fans have become familiar with that in recent years. The Cougars' win at Oklahoma State was the team's third straight victory against a ranked opponent, the longest streak since the 1978 team won four consecutive games.
