Swimming and Diving Preps for Phill Hansel Duals

HOUSTON - The University of Houston swimming and diving team kicks off competition to its 2009-10 season on Oct. 9-10 when they host the Phill Hansel Duals Weekend at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium.
Houston will welcome Rice and Florida International for this weekend's meet. Action begins at 5 p.m. on Friday and will continue at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Friday's events will be a normal scored meet, while Saturday will feature a collection of distance relays that will not be scored.
This will be the second consecutive season that both Rice and Florida International have competed in the Phill Hansel Duals Weekend. The Cougars defeated both teams at the meet a season ago.
Following the Phill Hansel Duals, the Cougars will travel east for duals against Duke and Georgia Tech on Oct. 30 and UNC-Wilmington and Emory on Oct. 31.
