Volleyball Adds Amanda Carson

HOUSTON - Head coach Bill Walton announced the signing of Amanda Carson to a National Letter of Intent Monday during the recent signing period.
Carson begins her Cougar career as a freshman for the 2007 season. She joins Robin Fitzgerald, Malia Vavao, Lucy Charuk and Hannah Sullivan, who already have signed NLIs with the Cougars.
"Amanda brings an elite level of ball control and was a top performer for her club team, the Dallas Skyline," head coach Bill Walton said. "Her passing and digging skills will improve our side out and transition offense. We're excited to have her and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new class."
Carson (Allen, Texas) has recorded a pair of All-District 9-5A First-Team selections during the last two seasons as a libero at Allen High School. She also was a member of the 2006 North Texas All-Area Team and a 2006 TGCA All-State pick.
