Cougar Football Announces 2007 Promotions

HOUSTON - The University of Houston announced the 2007 promotions schedule for the upcoming football season today. The schedule is highlighted by Homecoming festivities set for Nov. 17 when UH takes on Marshall. The reunion of former students will also honor the University's 80th anniversary.
Kicking off the 2007 football season is Champions Day on Sept. 22 when they Cougars play host to Colorado State. The Cougars will celebrate their 2006 Conference USA Football Championship and honor all UH champions. Band Day 2007 will also be held during the football home opener.
All UH System students will receive free admission and discounted tickets will be available for faculty and staff on Sept. 29. Houston will face ECU on All UH Day ini an attempt to rally the entire UH System at Robertson Stadium.
Fan Fest will take place Oct. 13 when cross-town rival Rice comes to Robertson Stadium and Red Rage day will be Nov. 4 against SMU. All fans are encouraged to wear red for the nationally televised game and there will be a competition for the most REDiculous fan.
The 2nd Annual Cougar Football Classic match-up between the Cougars and Texas Southern will conclude the 2007 home football schedule on Nov. 24. It will mark first ever meeting between the two Houston football programs.
