ON THE GAME AGAINST EAST CAROLINA
"Recapping last week, it was very frustrating and very disappointing but you have to get over it and move on. That's what we're doing. This week is about us, it's not about anyone else. We're going to play cleaner football, start to finish, on both sides of the ball and on special teams. That's going to be our main focus throughout this week and, hopefully, through the rest of the season because that's how you win football games; by winning the turnover battle, field position battle and momentum. Nothing has really changed. We just have to get better at taking care of those aspects of the football game."
ON HEADING TO ALABAMA
"Coinciding with what I've been saying, this week is about us. I know it's going to be a great atmosphere, a good environment and we're looking forward to it."
ON HOW THE EMOTIONAL LET DOWN FROM LAST WEEKEND WILL AFFECT THE TEAM GOING INTO ALABAMA
"They'll (the football team) bounce back. That's not a concern. We have a tough football team, mentally and physically, and we're going to play with a lot of passion. That's not an issue at all. I feel very confident with how we're going to perform when it's time to get out there and go. If we just take care of us, everything else will just fall into place. Like I said, that's the thing we've got to start doing better. That's just part of it. We're still growing as a football team but after this week we're into conference games in six of our last seven ball games. We've got to quit growing and be mature right now."
