In his time with the Cougars, Park has helped guide Houston to three NCAA Regional team berths, one NCAA Regional individual qualifier appearance and a second-place finish at the 2022 American Athletic Conference Championships.
The Cougars have enjoyed 19 Top-Five showings in tournaments with five All-Conference performers, two Big 12 Conference Championships All-Tournament Team members and 12 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars.
at HOUSTON
In 2024-25, Park helped lead Houston to three tournament championships during the regular season, tying the school single-season record set by the 2018-19 team.
The Cougars stood at #27 in the final Scoreboard by Clippd national rankings and finished sixth at the NCAA Columbus Regional after earning a No. 5 seed in the NCAA postseason. That was the highest seeding for Houston in the NCAA postseason in school history.
Following the season, he was named an assistant coach for Team International and helped lead that squad to victory over Team USA at the 2025 Arnold Palmer Cup at Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, S.C.

In 2023-24, Park helped lead the Cougars to the program’s second straight NCAA Regional team berth. Houston tied for sixth at the NCAA Auburn Regional at University Club, the program’s best finish in the NCAA postseason and only two strokes shy of advancing to the NCAA Championships as team for the first time.
The Cougars started the season in impressive fashion, sweeping the Sam Golden Invitational team and individual titles. Houston posted a score of 48-under 816 – thanks to a 20-under 268 score in the Final Round –for the third-lowest 54-hole total in NCAA history with freshman Ellen Yates earning medalist honors at 14-under 202 in her first collegiate event.
Svedenskiold led the Cougars and was named to the All-Big 12 Conference Team and to the Big 12 Championships All-Tournament Team. It was the second straight season in her second different league in which Svedenskiold collected those postseason accolades.
In 2022-23, Park helped lead Houston to its first team appearance at at NCAA Regional since 2021 with six Top-Four team finishes.
With a starting lineup featuring three true freshmen, the Cougars finished second at the Trinity Forest Invitational with a score of 19-under 854, thanks to a Final Round 274, setting school records for low team round, low team round to par and low team tournament score.
Svedenskiold captured medalist honors at the Jim West Challenge (Oct. 23-24, 2022) becoming the first freshman in school history to win a tournament title and was later named to the All-American Athletic Conference Team.
Fellow freshman Natalie Saint Germain fired a 64 in the Final Round of the Schooner Fall Classic (Sept. 26, 2022) to set the school record for low round.
Off the course, nine Cougars earned a place on the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, tying the school single-season record.
In his first season with the Cougars in 2021-22, Park helped lead the Cougars to their best play of the year by season’s end.
Houston finished second at the American Athletic Conference Championships on Pineurst No. 6 at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, N.C. Nicole Abelar, Maria Jose Martinez and Annie Kim earned All-American Athletic Conference honors while Kim joined Anna Economon and Ariana Saenz on the league’s All-Academic Team.
at UTSA
Park came to Houston after serving for the previous three seasons as an assistant coach at UTSA. During that time, Park helped lead the Roadrunners to five tournament championships, including the 2019 Conference USA title, and two NCAA Regional berths.
In 2020-21, UTSA earned three Top-5 team finishes with second-place showings at the Texas State Invitational and the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational. The Roadrunners also advanced to the NCAA Louisville Regional, the program’s second straight postseason berth.
In 2019-20, UTSA captured a pair of tournament titles and one individual crown. The Roadrunners captured their second straight Texas State Invitational championship and followed that with the team title at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational. That event was the last of the campaign, as all spring sport competition and championships were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
That season, he also became certified as a TPI Golf II instructor.
Park helped lead UTSA to three team titles, including its second straight Conference USA crown, and four additional top-five finishes in his first season with the program in 2018-19.
UTSA won the season-opening Lady Maxwell Invitational and also finished atop the leaderboard at the Texas State Invitational. The Roadrunners successfully defended their Conference USA Championships title with a school-record 10-under 854 to finish 12 strokes ahead of runner-up Charlotte. The Roadrunners then advanced to the NCAA Norman Regional.
The Roadrunners also performed in the classroom well under his watch, earning 16 C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll honorees, four C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medals and a WGCA All-American Scholar with the team receiving a pair of NCAA Public Recognition Awards for academic progress rate (APR) perfect scores of 1,000 in 2019 and 2020.
at AUBURN
Park came to San Antonio from Auburn, Ala., where he held dual roles marketing and tournament director for the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour and as a golf coach at Auburn High School.
Park also served as a tournament services intern with Global Golf Management in Opelika, Ala., where he helped promote event opportunities and assisted with general operations during PGA Tour’s Barbasol Championship in 2017
Park worked as a public speaking instructor with Auburn University’s Communications Department from 2015 to 2017 while he completed his master’s degree in communication.
as a STUDENT-ATHLETE
A former standout collegiate golfer for Alabama State, Park helped lead the Hornets to three consecutive Southwestern Athletic Conference championships in 2013-15. He collected All-SWAC First-Team honors and was a Cleveland/Srixon All-American Scholar as a senior in 2015.
Park was a President’s Award recipient and a member of the Dean’s Honor Roll each year of college. He graduated summa cum laude with a 3.94 GPA and in communications with a minor in finance in 2015 from Alabama State.
PERSONAL
A native of Kendal, England, he and his wife, Shanon, were married in 2017.
Their son, Lucas David, was born in May 2024.
